Answers about local data, exports, backups and using Sistola safely.

Does Sistola measure blood pressure?
No. Enter readings from a separate, appropriate blood pressure monitor. Sistola is a journal and does not turn a phone into a measuring device.
Where are my readings stored?
They are stored in private app storage on your Android device. The app has no account, cloud sync, analytics or internet permission.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual records inside the app. To remove everything, clear Sistola storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Exported files must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them.
How do backups work?
Use Create full backup in the Profile screen to save a JSON backup, then Restore backup to import it later. Backup and CSV files are not encrypted by Sistola, so keep them in a private location.
Can I share a report with a healthcare professional?
Yes. You can create a PDF report or export CSV and choose where to send it using Android. Review the file before sharing because it can contain sensitive health information.
What happens when I change phones?
On Android 12 and later, choose to copy apps and data when you set up the new phone; Sistola data moves directly between the phones. You can also create a full backup on the old phone, move the file securely and restore it on the new one.
Is Sistola free?
Yes. Every current feature is free, with no ads. If an optional Pro upgrade is added later, Google Play will process the purchase and any refunds, and people who used the app before then keep Pro free.
What should I do about an unusual reading?
Do not rely on the app for diagnosis or emergency decisions. Follow the instructions supplied with your monitor and advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Contact local emergency services if you may be experiencing a medical emergency.
